Our Beliefs

The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and it is absolutely true and without error in any part. It is the final authority for the believer's life. (II Timothy 3:14-17)

There is but one God, Who is perfect and Who reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

Jesus Christ is God and the Son who became true man, who died on the cross for our sins as our substitute and ascended bodily into Heaven, and Who is there today as the only Mediator between God and man. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4; I Timothy 2:5; Romans 3:21-26)

All men are sinners by nature and that their salvation is by grace through faith alone. All who receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are eternally saved. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 10:27-29)

Our Lord Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly and imminently for His church and will establish His kingdom here on earth. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 19-20)

The local church is a voluntary association of baptized believers, who are equal in rank and privilege, and who are subject to the Word of God. This association or church is independent of any outside ecclesiastical control whatsoever.

We practice the two ordinances which Christ left us:

Baptism - the immersion of the believer in water, symbolizing one's union with Christ and His church and one's commitment to Christ as Lord. (Matthew 28:18-20; Romans 6:3-5)

Communion - the provision of the bread and drink which are symbolic of Christ's body and blood given for us on the cross. (Luke 22:19-20)

These are simple statements concerning our belief in certain areas.
They are not meant to exhaust that which we believe,
nor to limit that to which we are responsible.
